THE PROCESS
The cutting of our timber frames consists of a very advanced process. Our unique tightly grained Douglas fir timbers are planed 4 sides then positioned into our K2 Hundegger Automated Joinery Machine. Using computer precision the K2 takes advantage of its array of mechanical cutting tools to facilitate the creation of tenons, mortises, dovetails and many other timber joints. These timber joints are cut to appropriate scale to facilitate exact structural engineered applications.
Combined with the hand finishing of every piece, this process is in high demand due to the quality, precision, faster productivity, and lower price of our timber frames. Clients do not have to wait as long to get their timber frame, and will admire the tight finish of all connections that bear the signature of quality.
